Adaptations
As a community focused landlord we aim to support tenants to remain in their own home for as long as possible. One way of doing this is to carry out adaptations to help people whose medical and mobility needs have changed since they moved in.
If you require your home to be adapted in some way, for example, a shower over bath or walk in shower, you should first have an assessment carried out by a Glasgow City Council occupational therapist. They would then make an application to us on your behalf. If you require an adaptation such as a handrail, please contact our offices to request a handrail form.
Every year we receive a small amount of funding for medical adaptations from Glasgow City Council and this provides a limited amount of funding to carry out adaptions. Demand for adaptations is very high and requests are prioritised based on levels of need.
If the expense of a particular adaptation is too great or the adaptation is impractical, we will discuss our decision with you and if possible try and find a solution that is acceptable to all parties.

Did you know that in 2017/18 the average time to complete medical adaptations from the point we receive an occupational therapist's request is approximately 40 days
