TPAS/Kendoon Customer Panel Initial Meeting – 5 March 2020
Most of you will be aware that last year, Kendoon’s Management Committee decided, following an options appraisal exercise and consultation with tenants, shareholders and other stakeholders, that it was in the best interest of our tenants to look for a partner to deliver our strategic objectives. This is known as a transfer of engagements. The partner association must be able to deliver our key objectives, share our beliefs, have a proven track record and the governance and financial strength to deliver the best future for our tenants.
This exercise had to be halted for a few months while Kendoon conducted a governance investigation. I am delighted to say that this has been concluded and work on the partnership has re-commenced with the Management Committee about to select the preferred partner. The governance and legal issues of this process is being dealt with by our Interim Director Wendy McCracken and I will be leading on tenant engagement and consultation side.
We are working with the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) to work with you to represent your views throughout this process. It is vital that you are informed and knowledgeable about the process and have your opinions heard. We are working with TPAS as they provide independent advice and information to you on how this process works and will answer questions you may have, for example, about how this has worked in other organisations who have gone through this significant change.
We are holding a number of customer meetings which we hope you will be able to attend.
The first meeting will be held on Thursday 5th March 2020 5.30pm – 7.00pm, in the Chest, Heart and Stroke Shop in Drumchapel Shopping Centre. An agenda is attached.
Please advise us of your attendance by contacting the office on 0141 944 8282 or emailing email@example.com. We look forward to seeing you there.
